Six years ago I was able to return to full time painting after a very long gap. Since then I have been looking at different ways of interpreting the landscape. These landscapes are both real and imagined. They may be wistful, occasionally humorous or even slightly nostalgic. They are inspired by the rolling patchwork downs and fields of the South West of England where I was born and, in sharp contrast, the rugged, mountainous, countryside of the Pyrenees where I currently live and work.
